2011 DH World Championship - Monster Specialized

Australian Troy Brosnan won his second junior downhill world championship title in a row at the UCI Mountain Bike Worlds in Champery, Switzerland, on Sunday afternoon.

Rain started the morning of the competition and only got stronger all day. It made a very technical track even more technical and many of the top racers were crashing and slipping all over during their final runs.

Brosnan defeated 57 other juniors to take his second consecutive rainbow-striped jersey in a time of 3:51.503. He was the third last junior man down the hill and beat the time of the previous best rider, David Trummer (Austria) by more than 12 seconds.

"It feels amazing. Winning this one was harder than the first one," said Brosnan. "I can't believe it."

 S-works just mean its the top of the line bike, like trek call thire top bike 9.9, and by those names it's likely to be carbon which is it Big Grin

 I have to give huge props to Fairclough as well. Riding with just one knee, and getting 4th place; that's his best run of the season, and in the sh*ttiest condition to boot Eek Fairclough is still one of the best. Heal up meng, and tear it up next year!

 Finally there was a review for Specialized Monster team!!!! The whole season I would be on youtube constantly watching the videos the team had from each world cup race, meanwhile CRC, Lapierre, Atherton project all had their video's on the forum!

 its good see that specialized has done a bit of media work with them. Coz Sam is talking alot more than he used to and brosnan seems happy on camera!! PR guys dream!

 This whole team has sooooooo much potential, if they all manage to stay injury free in the off season and come back in 2012, Spesh' has a good chance at having all 3 spots on the podium!

 A decent end to what was otherwise a very disappointing season for the monster team. Injuries killed them this year, next year should be better. Who is the second fastest guy on this team, Sam or Bren-dawg? Hard to say at the moment.

 for me sam had a incredible riding with the IH sunday,the transition to specialized make for him a diferent ride style, less brutally compared with his style and you can see the change with his time in wc,hope a better season for you sam Big Grin
