After the Fox Racing truck was stolen Tuesday outside of Quebec while the crew were there for the World Cup, we put up a story announcing the theft and received a call from a Pinkbike user yesterday to inform us they had seen the truck while driving by it in Montreal and called it into police. Soon after, the police were on the scene and towed it back. The truck was just released back into Fox Racing's hands and they are grateful. "We debated even passing the word around at first but this shows it was worth it and the power of forums and communication. Super stoked! " says Mark Fitzsimmons from Fox Racing.
All is not well though as Mark tells Pinkbike, "The thieves cut a hole in the side wall, came inside, cut out the back door locks and removed everything bike and suspension related. They knew what they were after as they even took our shim tuning kits and left other valuables around them. They weren’t able to get into our tools as we had a second lock on those." The thieves have not been found so all those Fox Racing goods are still out there, so keep on the look out!
Great to see the biking community come together like this. And Fox Racing wanted to give a big shout out to all the race teams who lent them tools so they could continue getting things dialed in at the World Cup.
