Fox Racing Truck Found and Retrieved

Fox Truck and trailer.

After the Fox Racing truck was stolen Tuesday outside of Quebec while the crew were there for the World Cup, we put up a story announcing the theft and received a call from a Pinkbike user yesterday to inform us they had seen the truck while driving by it in Montreal and called it into police. Soon after, the police were on the scene and towed it back. The truck was just released back into Fox Racing's hands and they are grateful. "We debated even passing the word around at first but this shows it was worth it and the power of forums and communication. Super stoked! " says Mark Fitzsimmons from Fox Racing.

All is not well though as Mark tells Pinkbike, "The thieves cut a hole in the side wall, came inside, cut out the back door locks and removed everything bike and suspension related. They knew what they were after as they even took our shim tuning kits and left other valuables around them. They weren’t able to get into our tools as we had a second lock on those." The thieves have not been found so all those Fox Racing goods are still out there, so keep on the look out!

Great to see the biking community come together like this. And Fox Racing wanted to give a big shout out to all the race teams who lent them tools so they could continue getting things dialed in at the World Cup.

Ridingwhatican : your supportive comment about what stryke said is based on your opinion, not the facts : read it again; he said they are clever RATHER than idiots - having had one of my rides stolen and two other attempts, i have strong feelings about bike thieves so i am one 'dumbass' who could care less about your neg prop - and ANY bike thief no matter how he gets away with his slimeball crime is not clever, he is what he is, ONLY an idiot thief, and anyone who gives him ANY suggested positive prop [ clever ] needs to rethink his comment [ in my opinion ]...

ooOO now we're talkin! Seriously though, you gotta be pretty low class to steal the fox truck and trailer, I mean I want some fox gear just as much as the next rider, but I would never go to such lengths as to rob them, that's just....well, low class.

No one said they didn't dust for fingerprints. Stuff like that takes weeks, sometimes months to process.

Can you imagine how many different sets of prints are on that thing, riders, mechanics, and friends of such everywhere

flag seraph (Jul 1, 2011 at 15:20)
Well you can eliminate all Fox mechanics and employees pretty easily. It's the friends of mechanic and employees that makes things complicated.

flag seraph (Jun 30, 2011 at 23:46)
Probably more than $30k, since there were two Yeti team bikes in there as well which were easily worth over $8000 each.
