would love to have a shot at manualing as many rollers as i could lol. ahhhh canada and usa are so damn lucky they get so much stuff like this! =P
wow, i've been waiting for this for a long time. love that it's only a 10-15 minute ride from my house!
foam pit is a major plus, a park i go to people only go for the pit

We do have nice weather and perfect mountains . We have no federation to organize DH/4x races though(only open events) and no forward thinking brains to build a skate-bikepark etc. in the cities. They re like back in 80's building only basketball & 5x5 courts everywhere..So just practice, work & tickets to Europe or Whistler=)

this is gona be so sick, i heard there are gona be djs outside the park as well.. its too bad its gona be expensive to buy a day pass :/
indoor XC is possible. it will probably be like a long loop around the entire perimeter of the building. the place is pretty big if you look at there website. they are most likely trying to appeal to every type of biker.
chipboard??? OSB dude...and it's the only way to make those structures indoors. They act a substrate and then the final layer is put over top. Way to go guys...see you soon
That looks so sick, I would love to go there. Mad props to them for making this, it's an awesome idea.
I really dont think this is Canada's first indoor mtb park...I know there is one being built in sherwood park, AB at the moment. Maybe the first huge public one. Im not saying im a genious, but you gotta think that theres small indoor parks scattered all across Canada.
notice it says first all season indoor park. most indoor parks can only afford to stay open for winter
it's not about stealing ideas. it's about making facilities like this available to a wider customer base as not everyone has the means to travel to cleveland whereas toronto is the central hub for about 9 million people. it doesn't matter if it's canada's first, or the world's second, or the solar system's eighth. it matters that someone had the vision and means to take a successful idea and bring it to another area to be shared by millions witht the same goal in mind.
your right it is about making it open to the masses. but every feature list is identical to ray's. where is your own spin your own ceativness so to say. it is easy to take someones idea and duplicate it it is another thing to take someones idea and make it better your own improve it
what could they possibly make that rays doesn't have? its biking, nobody says other hills copied whistler. its an indoor bike park, its the same premise as rays, and rays was the first real one. are all indoor skateparks copies of the first one? no.
Ohhh boy, looks like I'll be building a park bike up for this winter. Hope its close to my place in the GTA.

So sick... Usually I have to re-learn how to ride after playing ice hockey
all winter... Not this year!!!
all winter... Not this year!!!
the landing is some material, where you can land on it and not fall if you land right, but if you have to bail, it cushions the landing.
Fairly hard, thick layer of rubber, over a layer of soft foam, so you can roll out easily (unlike a foampit obviously), but is not too painful if you bail. Basically the stepping stone between a foam pit and jump box.
I live in Canada I dont feel that lucky for having this place cause it would take me probably 3 days to drive there if I got good weather. The people in the surrounding area of this place in Ontario are lucky to have it. not so much for BC
shut up, vancouver is the place that every body would like to live. There is tons of shit around that city.
i know that son. but we do not have a single indoor park... actaully nvm air dome at whistler, still.

Hopefully they do as good a job as Ray's has done. I wish them all the luck.
