why is it that every promoted video is half full of arduous non-riding artsy bs? The first 60 and last 20 seconds of a 2 minute long video filled with mundane driving in the car, birds and clouds and insects, oiling the chain and pumping up tires, scratching your ass, adjusting your goggles, shoveling some dirt, doing a benny hill chase, eating oatmeal, watching grass grow, few shots of sunset... and so on.. sigh.

Gotta agree with ya man , not too interested on how you get to trails more interested in watching the riding , but this seems to be the format for 90 percent of videos these days : driving there , putting wheels on , look at some bush or tree followed by slow-mo shots of puddles splashing

totally agree...i mean im ok with those kinda intros on videos that last at least like 7min, but when in the end the video is really short and you barely get to see any riding f@ck sake...

yeah im getting tired of skipping a minute into every video just to see some riding. kind of annoying when its all slow motion shots too.

What bothers me more is watching kids on full dh rigs riding xc trails and skidding into berms (no, that's NOT how you drift young man). bah blah, bitch bitch. Finished.

a lot of people don't have money for more than 1 bike, Due to the weather on Vancouver Island at the moment, our downhill trails are covered in snow. So we take our downhill bikes out on lower trails, with less elevation, and ride them to the best of our ability. We have fun doing it, it makes a f*cking wicked video, and we never for one second think "we're not allowed to ride these because we don't have the proper bikes".

Fair enough. But if biking is your passion, your never gonna let a lack of money get in the way of owning a couple of sweet bikes. Out of all my bikes I only ever bought one frame new. I thank the baby Jebus for PinkBike!

YEA I give two big thumbs down to the first comment about money. I pay for a truck, insurance on the truck, health insurance, a house payment, my children cost a LOT, I also have to put food on the table for them hmmmmm what else is stopping me from owning a few top riggs? OH PAST DUE hospital bills haha Those are some of the many things that make it so we cant own everything! NO MATTER HOW MUCH PASSION I HAVE! I am not complaining. I love my expensive little family haha

Killa, it sounds like your complaining to me. Your no different to anybody else who rides bikes! You have kids and truck payments and bills up the ying yang? So do I! All I meant by that comment was my (old)bikes are second hand. I saved up my (few) pennies and bought all my bike bits (used) on PinkBike so I could have different bikes to ride. And I don't appreciate being given advice about hardship from an 18 yr old kid who rides a brand new $6000 2011 Intense DH bike(dexterrobson)

Funny you say it "sounds" like im complaining when you read it off of a computer screen...? Im very 100% that I said specifically that i was "not complaining". Also, I do believe I stated "we" so i never one time single myself apart by what i said. I will be the first to tell you that im just like everyone else. I actually feel that i was speaking for a lot of people in that comment. Good luck in literature class buddy. How the hell did you get all your assumptions out of my comment. I said I was not complaining..... then directly after reading what I wrote...... you tell me it sounds like I am complaining? wtf

Lol i just looked at your profile... obviously your not going to be in literature class anytime soon. I think we took what each of us said more harsh then we meant it. But i think after reading your comment on the rule of thirds you could probably teach me a thing or two. although it would have been nice to have a parent that would give me or even have the cash for a 6000dollar intense. Not saying it would make me a better person in the end. It just would have been nice haha
