13th Annual Bear Mtn. Challenge

Get ready for the 13th Annual Bear Mountain Challenge in Misson BC, July 25/26/09 Sanctioned by Cycling BC and part of the BC Cup Series. The DH on Bear Mtn. is buffed and ready to go,as is the XC course on Red Mtn.

Saturday July 25 -

10-3 will see shuttles (you Must be registered )running
3-4pm shuttles will be a pro only practice.
As well Red Mtn will be running the XC race starting 9AM!

Sunday July 26 -

9am-10:30 DH practice shuttles
11-12 course closed so we can do final preparations
12PM DH race starts!

Steve Smith's record time continues to be unbeatable, will this be the year it finally goes down?

There is no race on the right side of the road (when arriving from Mapleridge)? Where there's a wooden start up? This trail is so intense, this is where a race should be !!

debster, i think the trail you are thinking of is called arrdum. and its annual race was about 4 weeks ago.

Oh wait it was posted almost 3 weeks ago, but we thought it would be nice to give those that would like to spectate a reminder as we all know that racers would have pre-registered long before today.

We had over 300 racers between the XC and DH race. The weekend had everything you could ask for, including a marriage proposal at the DH awards ceremony. Thanks Tyler and Pinkbike for supporting the event!
