I went to Ireland recently and met some bikers there - probably was actually you guys. Seemed like a small but incredibly devoted crowd. Good effort on the film, looks really well made. That trail along the side of the hill with the Orange bike looked really fun.

LOOKING FORWARD!

Looks like a great movie to me. I like that they take it a bit further, and you get to see who the rider is - really gives the public an idea of the pashion that goes with riding mountainbike.

it has the epic feel that the Collective has
  • + 0
flag Aptos (Nov 30, 2008 at 19:17)
It has that feel because:

1. They used a tripod, slow pans, and little zooming. Stronger focus on aesthetics than action, etc.

2. They tried to make it look like 16mm film by using a prosumer HD cam with a 35mm DOF adapter, which is a good cheap way to fake the film look.

3. It had interviews, which almost invariably makes a video less "in your face action" so to speak. And mellow music.

So refreshing to get a glimpse of a scene we seldom get to see. Can't wait to see the whole film. The trailer gives a sense of a true mountain bike film touching on why we ride and how important it is to always make the time to do so for life.
