This past weekend was the Chatel Mountain Style event and the Canadians did really well over here. Weather played it's part in how the weekend's events unfolded, but the riders put on a show.
Top 10 inside.

check out the pictures ! http://www.vttattitude.net/photos/galerie-59-09-chatel-mountain-style.html
There are just not enough events for big mountain style guys like Romo. He was slated for Rampage last fall but was injured before getting there while training for it.
He has been fully on form just needed the place to show his stuff. Super stoked for him too.

nice romo got 5th!! hes my favorite rider, now that is a sick slopestyle, its got massive drops and rockgardens, and the top 5 all had big bikes!!! this is how all slopestyles should be!

^ having watched the video, is it just me or is Berrecloth just inherently more stylish than anyone else there?
Glad to see that the Canucks can still through down. Our racing isn't going super well, but we can still man handle the competition at this big mountain stuff.
ive ridden there last year when i was in Morzine! it is huge! there was no ladder drop though last year.
the other drops and jumps are very nice!

i was at the comp and f*ck! its huge! the roadgap at the last part of the course is big yes, but the landing looks so sketchy. a couple of riders went down on the road gap and one almost got thrown of the side of the mountain. but it was a really sick comp. first time i saw pro riders so i was really stoked
The video totally obliterates the gradient of the slope and makes the jumps/drops look like curbs.
Was out there earlier this year and I was scared just from looking at the course, let alone flying down with style.
These pros have serious skills, saw Romianuk whip over the chatel road gap on the chair lift up, was awesome.
