In his latest production, titled ‘Way Back Home’, Danny showcases what he’s been up to since his last project: “This is something I have been working on with Red Bull along my two friends Dave Sowerby and Mark Huskisson for the last few months. We travel from Edinburgh all the way back to my home village Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye riding all the most amazing spots I could find along the way!!” Combining the riding style of trial bike, mountain bike and BMX-street, he definitely has many more tricks up his sleeve. And in just a few months, he’ll get the chance to prove it!
About Danny: It is hard to believe that it has been barely more than a year since Inspired Bicycles-Rider Danny posted a video on youtube that was to change his life. Over night, the video got a few hundred thousand views and as of today has been watched well over 20 million times – the world went crazy for Danny. Since the video went live, things progressed really fast – Danny found himself featured in the New York Times, was nominated for the Action Sportsperson of the Year Category of the Laureus World Sports Awards this year and has now finally found the time to start shooting a new video. He is super stoked about the way things are going for him: “I still can’t believe the first video reached so many people that actually liked it and passed it on. I mean, even Lance Armstrong thought it was a must see! Now I get to make another, even crazier video and basically ride my bike as a job. It doesn’t get any better than this.”
Can't wait to see the new video. Such an amazing rider who deserves all the attention and fame he is getting. Hard to believe it's been just over a year since his first video came out.
I remember he was at the local dh races in socal and he busted his collar bone during practice. That would have been sweet to see how I stood up to a rider with so much skill....dh anyway
that is probably one of the most amazing videos ever seen. And i thought i had seen it all with the rampage couple days ago.... just non stop with these guys.
I have never been any good at trials. I can do a track stand but that is about it. I however find the skill and dedication needed to do the things the likes of MacAskill does simply amazing. I can't wait to yet again be amazed and blown away by the new release showcasing Danny MacAskill.
