Smack Down-NWD 8 The Vegas Premiere review and a few dates where you can see your own premiere.

Last editted October 3, 2007 at 23:51
Once again the crew at Freeride-Entertainment put together one hell of a party for their world premiere in Vegas, of New World Disorder 8-Smack Down. Held in the Rain Night Club at the Palms Casino, the place was packed and everyone was ready for a good time.

Freeride Entertainment has always put together opening sections that set the stage for the whole show and this year was no different. The theme for rider's intros in Smack Down was a Mexican Wrestling, Royal Rumble if you will. Where, as a rider's mask gets removed, it would queue up their section. The matches were funny and the riding is amazing. So with out further ado here is my take on NWD 8 Smack Down:

The SWASS keeps flowing as I wander the halls checking out all the goods....

Last editted October 2, 2007 at 17:13
For those not in the know, SWASS is short for Sweaty Ass and it is the number one thing that ruins a show from the get go. Number two being my sore feet, but since this isn't about me, I'll move on. Not only is the show full of great bits from Giro, Bell, Dakine, Scott USA, FSA, Knolly and so many others, but if you were to walk outside and turn right on Koval you can wander over to the Vegas Resistance. Deity, Transition Bikes and Spectrum Tech Wear were three of the 5 companies at the resistance-read on to learn more.

Ah the indoor show and all the goodies that it brings with it!

Last editted October 1, 2007 at 14:18
The indoor show is massive, not like a Carl's Jr. burger either. I'm talking HUGE here folks. You can walk around for all 3 days and still miss booths. But being the diligent little media folks that we are, here is a look at some of the booths that we did encounter on the journey of a million steps.

Rocky Mountain Bikes, Marin Bikes, Sombrio Clothes, Bike Mine Distribution, DT Swiss, and a bag of mixed goods are all inside.

Mmmm still hot out and lots of great gear in the desert-Outdoor Day #2

Last editted September 25, 2007 at 23:48
I had my finger crossed all last night, but no luck on the Outdoor Demo getting any rain. Hmm if this were the Fraser Valley, it would have rained like 6 times by now. Since I'm here though it was time to get up and get at it-grab a snack on the way to the bus and WHOA! Holy Hell that is a HUGE ASS line up for the bus this morning. Hmmmm looks like the rest of the world showed up this morning and were in line too-just over an hour to get a ride out to the demo. Here are todays goods:

Day one in the Desert and I got the least sunburnt-Check out the new bikes!

Last editted September 25, 2007 at 0:32
Well staying in the hotel has its perks-no need to get up earlier in order to be at the show on time, just roll out of bed, brush your teeth, grab your gear and walk downstairs. I think from a few groggy faces that I saw today (and they are only going to get greater in number as the week goes on) that others are loving the proximity too. Today and tomorrow are both the Outdoor demo days for the Interbike tradeshow and they take place at Bootleg Canyon, which is just a short drive from Sin City. Here's what we saw in the desert today:

Chilliwack to Seattle to Las Vegas - all with a Library card for ID - Interbike 2007

BEEP BEEP BEEP! What the hell is that noise? BEEP BEEP! Argh! It's like 5:12 AM and my alarm is telling me to wake up as it's time to get ready for Vegas. The Polack brothers were deep in SQL, CSS, HTML and AJAX dream land, but it was time to wake up and hit the road. Jordan and Mike rolled up and we all hit the Timmy's drive through and the trip began.
