Sea Otter - Schwalbe Tires

Schwalbe tires is looking to crack into the DH tire market in a bigger way with their newest offerings, the Dirty Dan and the Wicked Will. Partnering up with the Fox / Yeti team is going to be a great way to gather that all important real world testing and development too. At the Sea Otter we were able to sit down with Henry Horrocks and talk about the new 2010 offerings.

Sea Otter - Pro DH Results and video!

The Pro Downhill at the Sea Otter Classic always draws a huge crowd and this year was no exception. For the first time in I think Sea Otter history the whole weekend went with out any rain, so the track was dry and fast.

The Sea Otter is one of the few events that offers up a really dual slalom track each year and it's one of the hottest battles to watch year after year. This year we grabbed the camera and filmed up a banger video for everyone to enjoy.

I ran into one of my favorite Canadian mechanics, Mathieu at the Race Face booth where he is pitted this weekend with his new team, the Kenda Morewood squad of Nathan Rennie and Mitch Delfs. The team is rolling on Morewood Makulu frames, Kenda tires, BOS suspension and Race Face components.

Sea Otter - Tyler Morland's Turner DW DHR

Tyler Morland is one of Canada's best known DH racers and is also known for building some of the wizziest bikes you'll see rolling the trails. Working for SRAM has its benefits for sure, as does being an athlete under the Troy Lee Designs umbrella. We ran into Tyler a few days ago when he was building up his all new Turner DW DHR race bike and posted a few pics for you to drool over. Now we were able to corner him and take a really close look at his bike and do an interview too.

Sea Otter - Intense 951

The all new Intense DH race bike, "The 951" was launched at the Sea Otter Classic this weekend. Aimed at the consumer, the 951 is ready for any race course or trail that you like to ride to get your gravity fix on!

Sea Otter Classic - Marin Quad DH, Andrew Taylor and the CXR

Marin Bikes of Marin County California has been working on their DH race bike in various stages of prototypes for the last few seasons and Shaums March even won a world Master's DH championship on one of the protos. Here you can check out the goods and get the details on the final product. We also talk to Andrew Taylor about his new program at Marin Bikes and with Mark Vanek about the new CXR.

Sea Otter Day 6 - Tent is Up!

The clouds were thick, but no rain fell and the sun emerged to change the pigments of our skin from pasty white to bright red! Gotta love the Otter!

We have a lot on the go down here and you'll see it all over the next week. Right now you can enjoy a piece with Steve Smith and his new Evil Revolt, then take a sneak at Tyler Morland's new DW Turner (more on it to come soon). Enjoy!
