After a short break following the successful 2nd Annual Claymore Challenge, slopestyle competition returns to Highland Mountain Bike Park on August 8th for the 2nd round of the 2009 Highland Am/Open Slopestyle Series.
The event, which is open to all levels of riders, features two competitive categories; the Amateur Class, for beginner and intermediate riders, and the Open Class, which is intended for expert and professional competitors. Both groups will have the opportunity to compete on what the sport's top freeride athletes dub “the most fun slopestyle course” in the sport; the Dave Smutok designed Killicrankie Slopestyle Course.
Registration for the event is now open online at www.highlandmountain.com and will remain open until 6:00 pm on Thursday August 6th. Riders can still register for the event on-site up until 11:00 am on Saturday August 8th.
