Chilliwack to Seattle to Las Vegas - all with a Library card for ID - Interbike 2007

Posted: Sep 23, 2007

BEEP BEEP BEEP! What the hell is that noise? BEEP BEEP! Argh! It's like 5:12 AM and my alarm is telling me to wake up as it's time to get ready for Vegas. The Polack brothers were deep in SQL, CSS, HTML and AJAX dream land, but it was time to wake up and hit the road. Jordan and Mike rolled up and we all hit the Timmy's drive through and the trip began.

So when traveling across the border to the USA you require a passport to fly-since I do not have one and both the Polack's passports are expired, we'd be driving across the border and flying out of Seattle. Sounds ghetto, but hey that's how we roll!

Here is the Pinkbike.com support crew for Interbike 2007:

Karl "Library Card" Burkat:

Jordan "Dollar Bill" Holmes:

Tyler "I poo a lot" Maine:

Radek "iPhone" Burkat:

Mike "I wanna be pooed on" Levy:

The border crossing went well and despite Mike crossing his fingers, no one was cavity searched and I don't mean like your dentist checks either. Check in at the Sea-Tac airport was painless too, and then came the security line check-holy crap! Into the gate we got with Karl's Library card ID and it was time to relax, eat food court goodness and enjoy a safe trip (with turbulence) to Las Vegas.

Once we claimed our bags, it was time to get to our hotel. Hmm in years past we had rental vehicles to get around, but this year there was no need and we decided to take a LIMO to the hotel-haha heck ya! I recommend everyone do this as its barely more than a Taxi and you feel like a high roller (which well none of us are) when you pull up to your hotel. Dialing in our room was simple and painless thanks to our buddy Derek Lee who made the reservations over a year ago.

We dropped off our gear and it was straight to the strip for us as Radek wanted to get an iPhone like Mike wanted a Corona (badly as he survived another flight). In no time Radek had wrangled himself a new phone-hope it works in Canada buddy! From the Apple Store we wandered the strip on our way to the Mirage for the sickest buffet around - Cravings! Oh my goodness my stomach is stretching already-yikes!

Ok so that is enough non bike content from me for one night, but tomorrow is day one of the outdoor demo at Bootleg Canyon, so stay tuned. This is Butter signing out,
