"I can’t wait to try my new Scott Gambler on the trails of Mt. Tam and some day in British Columbia!", said Marty. "I have two sons, in their 20’s who are also avid bicyclists. One leads bicycle tours in Italy. They are sure to be envious when they come home to visit and see my new bicycle. My wife is also thrilled as she is happier when I am cycling on the mountain than on the roads. Thanks!"
Marty has been bicycling as long as he can remember. He started bicycle commuting in 1973 and fell in love with bicycle touring in 1974. Four days a week he bikes to his pediatric dental office. In 1985 he discovered the joys of off road riding on his Nishiki ten speed. In 1988 he rented a mountain bike at the Northstar Ski Resort and came home and purchased a Bridgestone MB-1. With a trail-head up to Mt. Tamalpais a mile from his home, he was hooked. He is on the mountain with his pals twice a week. When my MB-1 was stolen, he moved up to a Specialized Ground Control and discovered the joys of dual suspension.
Congrats Marty!

That's sick dude, but this old guy better throw down and take some sweet pictures for us haha

Beauty of a rig. He has been around to see the complete evolution of our sport. From completely rigid frames to full suspension. Have fun on that beast...
Once he posts some pics riding it I'll say SICK DUDE! Until then... lucky barstard
Enjoy your bike dude! Always good to see some older folk on the trails!

congrats on the win man and thats cool and all that he won but im kinda upset that it went to a dentist living in like the richest town in California rather than some pretty good kid who really need a new bike but couldn't afford it or somthin but who knows he could give away hella money or something, and besides that im hella jelouse! haha, so have fun with it bro
IF EVERYONE CYCLES INSTEAD OF DRIVING(OR NO CARS AT ALL EXCEPT FOR FOR SOLAR POWERED ONES), WE WON'T HAVE ALL THESE BIZZARD WEATHER PATTERNS CAUSED BY GLOBAL WARMING NOW.

For real, Marty deserves it. He has been a HUGE financial contributor to the Drake High School Mt Bike team in San Anselmo/Fairfax for four years. Thanks to folks like Marty there are dozens of schools in Northern California that have mountain biking as a sport for kids to join. Check out www.norcalmtb.org.
Ride it like you stole it, Marty!!!
