| Speaking of points, here's Remi Gauvin, current Junior Cat 1 leader from BC. |
We have been doing a ton of trail work and things are looking sweet. Unfortunately, we got rained out for our pre-ride videos this weekend, but will hopefully get it done tonight, so keep any eye on Pinkbike and our website as well.
As far as the tracks are concerned, King Diamond is coming back this round and it got some much needed pimping. We punched in a short reroute on Double Bypass which I believe will be used by Cat 2’s and Cat 3’s. In fact, we are likely going to use the same course for 2’s & 3’s so you can check your times against your friends in other categories.
New For This Race! First Timer’s SpecialHave a friend that has been on the fence about giving racing a try? This is the one to get them to. Any beginner (Cat 3) that hasn’t raced the NW Cup this year will enjoy a $30 entry fee. We have a local sponsor that wants to help us build the future of our sport and is subsidizing their entry. Hopefully that’s the “push over the cliff” your riding buddies need to give it a try. Just say “I’m a first-timer” at registration and we’ll get you set up.
We are really looking forward to seeing everyone again this weekend and appreciate you making the trip. It should be a little less crazy than the last one.
