Round 3 of the NW Cup in Port Angeles, WA starts Friday, June 11th with open practice from 1-6pm. See our website for a full schedule (www.nwcup.com). With two exciting rounds in the books, it’s time to add some more points to your overall series goals which will hopefully come true by the finals in late July.

More inside,

Speaking of points, here's Remi Gauvin, current Junior Cat 1 leader from BC.

We have been doing a ton of trail work and things are looking sweet. Unfortunately, we got rained out for our pre-ride videos this weekend, but will hopefully get it done tonight, so keep any eye on Pinkbike and our website as well.

As far as the tracks are concerned, King Diamond is coming back this round and it got some much needed pimping. We punched in a short reroute on Double Bypass which I believe will be used by Cat 2’s and Cat 3’s. In fact, we are likely going to use the same course for 2’s & 3’s so you can check your times against your friends in other categories.

New For This Race! First Timer’s Special

Have a friend that has been on the fence about giving racing a try? This is the one to get them to. Any beginner (Cat 3) that hasn’t raced the NW Cup this year will enjoy a $30 entry fee. We have a local sponsor that wants to help us build the future of our sport and is subsidizing their entry. Hopefully that’s the “push over the cliff” your riding buddies need to give it a try. Just say “I’m a first-timer” at registration and we’ll get you set up.

We are really looking forward to seeing everyone again this weekend and appreciate you making the trip. It should be a little less crazy than the last one.

Sorry the video's aren't working, I'm having technical difficulties. ProCat1 will be on King Diamond for sure, and still looking at which middle section to use? Cat 3 are going to get to try out Double Bypass this time. Been turning dirt every day for a week so you'll get to make fresh ruts on KD.

Also, as time allows, Casey and I are offering up a guided run down the course to help the first time racers figure out the track. We will be busy, but would be happy to help when we can. Just ask at registration.
