It's highly innovative and features a lot of outstanding design details, like our own suspension system or the MRP chainguide direct mount which was a new development in cooperation with MRP. More models such as a long travel freeride bike and a dirt jump bike will follow very soon.
Propain RAGE
The RAGE is the downhill race bike we offer. It is available in two versions, one is the more freeride orientated model with 200mm of travel and the other is the pure race bike with 245mm of travel. Both can be converted into the other model by changing to a shorter/longer shock and a small part of the linkage.
The Rage's rear suspension system is based on our novel PRO10 suspension system which comprises of a virtual pivot point in combination with a floating shock. It is extremely effective and gives the rider the smooth feeling of a long travel bike whilst still being very responsive and quick. The Bike has a state of the art race geometry with low BB and very low center of gravity; shock options are Cane Creek DB or BOS Stoy and complete bikes are available in a few weeks.

first. looks cool. any pros gonna be riding it or any video footage would love to hear more input on the suspension system
I ride one and I can say I love it! The suspension is very linear which provides you massive grip. Brakebumps and roots just won't slow you down. The shocks are adjusted specifically for this kind of design and give you good pedal efficiency despite the huge amount of travel.
Here you find a test of the bike in the Wideopenmag Issue 9:

If it's as good as you say it is, I think we'll be seeing a couple riders on these in a few years time. White one looks sweet.
I rode two generations of Specialized Demos, then a Devinci Wilson and now the Propain Rage and I have to say the three antecessor can't compete with it.
like others have said it does look a lot like the avent vandal, more expensive, and not as good looking. since i own a foes dhs mono i think ill just stick with that, especially if its using the same suspension platform thats 7 years old!
except a vpp doesn't mount on the seat tube, rear traingle is similar. linkage couldn't be further from the vpp
It doesn't matter if they mount it on the seat, it is like VPP as the links rotate in opposite directions(as where DW and others rotate in the same direction)...
Mike smith you must be mad if you think it doesnt look as good as an advent vandal those thinks looked wank these look PIMP in real life and the suspension system works mint
I agree. Kind of looks like the love child of an Avent and a Morewood. Only a much better suspension design than either from the look of it.

woo, 2300 euro for frame+shock is pretty tough for an "unproven" frame. Not saying that its not reliable, I got to trust it when YOU ride one *lol* just kidding
U.K based? Hunt down Wayne Tabernor. He's at selected U.K races with a sweet looking white demo model kitted out with BOS forks and rear shock.
Cheers.

Looks heavey and I wonder what Santa Cruz will say about it even though the shock is floating
Nevertheless... suspension system looks very interesting, finaly something truly different. ME LIKE!
The question is who was first on this system? These are already the serial production frames. The prototypes had been around over a year on the tracks. Antidote looks quite new to me. Website also isn't running...
If you are not going crazy with some chain pulleys around some higher pivots or some weird linkage (like canfield or the nox startrack) you will see that there had been thought about almost every possibility to mount a shock into a frame.

"FDS: Floting Damping System is patent pending bike suspension and it's our flagship product. We believe it to be the most advanced development among virtual pivot suspension designs. Around the FDS system we are able to design and build frames with wide range of usage – from short travel XC/Trail bikes to long travel DH/FR machines" informations from Antidote Bikes, and Atidote LifeLine weight is about only 3.1kg without rear shock
It is interesting that all these companies are popping up using a Floating shock and saying 'I was first'. Floating shock systems have been around for a while. We used them on the fusion bikes with an FSR style system in 2006 and Bodo Proobst, fusion's designer, had a patent on his Float Link Plus since pre 2000.
Hmmmm... well all companies have a patent on one Floating Shock System??? World of patents is fishy...
Yo! We took at look the protoype Propain Rage over at Wideopen a few months back and got lots of good feedback from our test rider. Lively, pedalled well, fun to ride. Hope it's ok to post this but check it out in here if you fancy looking at it:

If you want more info from the UK's main man do as Paton says above - give Wayne Tabernor a call. He should have stock ready to roll by now.

i like that sick white and green, it looks really heavy though. anyone with it built up, how much does it weigh?
Is it just me or do the PROPAIN, Mondraker Summun and Iron Horse Sunday all look the same with minor changes????? just my thought.
Price is about 1,900 euros for either frame according to link provided above. Don't know why that was so hard to post. I really like the look and suspension design but before I would buy it, the shock would have to be more protected from debris. Especially upside down like that, all the junk from the back tire is going to go right on the shaft and seal there.
They provide a carbonfender for those who are afraid mud would damage their shock:

That looks pretty darn sick! Lots of new bikes are custom like this, but they suck!
the brands just want attention to crappy bikes so they can be "unique", but this is one brand making quality stuff! props!

Hey guys, as Si and Jamie have said i am the importer for these bikes into the UK, and have a demo bike in white with BOS forks and shock for any interested party to try, just drop me an email or give me a bell and i can hook up with you for a days riding.
The frame is available with either a Fox, BOS or Cane creek shock, with the BOS option coming in at £1950, which includes a maxle and the MRP G2 chain device. This option is also available as a frameset kit, with BOS Idylle forks and headset added for £2995, other framesets are available with Rockshox Boxxers £POA.
Cheers

I've seen the proto's of this bike at Farmer Johns and they look amazing the guy said they rode really well but i have to agree that a mud guard should be provided especially to us British buyers. is there an extra cost. if so that bugs the crap out of me. It seems all dh frames now are mega expensive. They get made cheaply and sold expensivly not saying that this bike is made cheaply......
I have seen and ridden one of these bikes and it is nothing like a Santacruz, Iron Horse, Foes, Avent Vandal, Antidote.
I guess you have to look at the finer details of the shock, seeing one up close you would realise this.
The lower link plate is like a Mondraker, the upper links are like no other that I know of. The ride of the bike is very planted with a Boss, and it does need some time setting up. Amazing feeling bike off small drops when setup for Dh.

Right now the Propain founders are at the whistler Bikepark. Maybe if you see them you may can take a bike for a ride.
I emailed Propain and they said the frames and kits will be available in Canada at www.biketropolis.com for purchase in few days.
