Congrats to Brandon, Kurt and Thomas!
i honestly wonder if they kept all the tricks hidden, and are saving them for the movies. so far the filmography theyve realesed isnt nearly what i was hoping for...
If he earned it, No. Shandro isn't that type of judge. Proves it when Kurt and Thomas had first runs as 1-2. Giant and Evil's new face have nothing to do with Trek.

am I the only one who was expecting to see bigger drops/jumps/hucks during the rampage? All of them seemed relativly small compared to the other years that the rampage was held.
there were jumps and step downs/ups that were bigger than previous years i think. but there wasn't any stupid out of control hucking this year. I think that this year the fact that bender didn't ride was a shame because he's definitely a fun guy to watch. at the same time though because bender wasn't there destroying himself gives mountain biking a better image.
not necessarily smaller but more flow to it, longer transitions and since it has been 4 years since the last rampage alot of progression has happened and alot of the riders are alot smoother now. Back during the first rampage freeride mountain biking was still fairly new and the riders were focused on throwing themselves off of cliffs and generally had little style while doing it. That being said i still think this rampage still wasn't as hardcore as the other ones. To me a 45 foot huck is more impressive then a backflip over a 30 foot jump.
Backflip over a 30 foot gap is the norm, a 45 foot huck is f*ckin nuts. Regardless the contest shows the mountain biking has drastically changed in the past 4 years but is still keeping to its routes by going big as well. Rampage Evolution is the perfect mountain bike contest.
It didnt seem nearly as big as the past rampage years. They had plenty of style and were smooth in the past. That gap that Kyle Strait was throwing suicides off looked just as big if not bigger than everything in this video.
I was there working the course. Everything was just as big if not BIGGER. Just no hacks in it this time around to make crap look sketchy. It was all about flow and smoothness this year. If it couldn't be done smoothly, it was rebuilt.

man that's dirty that Mike Kinrade got 4th, that's a name i havent heard in awhile. But congrats to Brandon on the big win
semenuk has some mad skills. whats up with all the man crushes on vanderham. there are like 50 homo comments about him. he has the sickest style ever, but I don't think you should butt lust
relax buddy, people are happy that one of the best big mtn riders is showing off his skills, your discriminatory insults are a joke, take them elsewhere

vanderham is the man but shouldnt be ridin for evil next year thats gay, he should be w. rocky mountain forever
Shorts and little to no armor have absolutely nothing to do with progression man... That's just a poor choice of the riders'.
wow can you just imagine doing that step-up on a 60 pound bike! I sure know i wouldn't be able to make down the drop befor i break my neck!
Just got back from the Rampage... It was INSANE!!! Best weekend ever!
These guys are all more skilled than I will ever be!!
Props to all the Riders, and to all the fans that waited out the rain and hiked in 4 miles to watch!!

I just got back too and nothing about this weekend was small! They were all throwing it down like you could'nt imagine. Just wait till the real footage is released to see what went down. Some crazy stuff. It defanatly evolved from the old style rampage, but in a really good, fresh way. Can't even begin to tell you how awesome it was.
i so stoaked that semenuk brought it home this year. honorable mention also to graham agassiz who placed 8th out of 24. he is just a young rider and that is really awsome in my opinion.
First off - let me just say that I could barely make it down the easiest portions of this course, let alone do it with any style. I just want to say, and feel free to negative prop me - but this is NOT the Rampage I remember. I wasn't stunned, I wasn't surprised, I wasn't inspired. While Brandon and every other competitor is astronomically better than I will ever be, this was in no way as Gnar as the "real" rampage of years past.
i think this is get in better in a diferent way!!!! just don't give up i'll be most better every year!!!!
is it jus me or did the footage look more tame than the previous rampages, what happend to bender wasnt he asked to ride?
Guys, everything was HUGE. And what's wrong with adding a few jumps and gaps and step-ups into the course? In years past, riders were so desperate for jumps, they were carving them out of rocks.
