X Fusion Shox had a good presence at this year's Sea Otter Classic, from their booth to their race team. We were able to stop by and talk to them about the new Vengeance Fork, the Vector HLR rear shock, the H3LT rear shock and the O2 PVA.

Check out what they have rolling for 2009:

X-FUSION SUCKS BALLS!!!!
if you offered anyone, even the people sponsered by them, a choice between a fox fork and an x fusion fork.
they would DEFINITELY go with the fox fork.

too costly for the quality of the product.

everyone i talk to has or has had an x-fusion product, regrets buying it or even taking the time to put it on thier bike.

Cali-rid-305: that may have been the truth for x fusion in the past but you can't bash a company like that who is trying to work their way into the high end company list, give them some time and i bet they will be up there with Fox and Rock Shox in no time.

ncrider5, their already up there with rockshox, but it's gonna be a long time for them to catch up to FOX!

why is there always high and lowspeed compression, but no high and lowspeed rebound?
  • + 2
flag m47h13u (May 12, 2009 at 5:43)
Because you need two adjustments for compression as there is a great deal of variation in terrain. Rebound however is the fork/shock returning to it's 0 position so there would be no use for two speed adjustments when rebound is always pretty much the same type of reaction over and over.

I'm very impressed with the Vector shock w/Ti spring, it looks rock solid with great adjustability! I would happily try one out to see how it compares to my current shock! Although their website seems to be under construction at the moment Pinkbike lists the MSRP as $749 which is pretty steep. However a member here sponsored by them mentioned the street price should be closer to $520ish.

that stuff looks great, I think they need to make a fork thats a 20mm and not a 1.5 headtube. that way DJers dont have to use QR

My bike came stock with a X Fusion rear shock It worked pretty good but it was not compareable to a fox at the time. It looks like they stepped up their game though.

I'm using their H3 LT shock and I'd have to say....it blows the Fox DHX air away. Nice, super light shock with an 'almost' lock-out feature for those climbs.

I headr some rumours that X-Fusion makes some parts at Fox fork and shock. You can see there are lines in design between X-fusion and fox. Just check the detail!

I have an X-Fusion 02RC on my'07 Specialized FSRxc Comp and it has been working great for 3 years now. And seeing the stuff X-Fusion is pumping out now, it really looks like they're getting much better as a company. All the stuff shown here looks like it's machined and built extremely well, just as good as the Fox stuff. Go X-Fusion!
