Yeah. I think they were a little too quick to call it "World's First". It might be the first one to be thrown in a comp, but I give credit to Spinner for the world's first.
Even though he didn't pay a cent for it, its still pretty stupid. To give him some credit though, what he just did was kinda insane, and he's too stoked to think logically.
Some of you are making it way bigger of a deal then it really is, he's super stoked he landed it and just tossed the bike away, its not like he strapped c4 to it and blew it up, I hate throwing my bike but when I'm working on a new trick and finally land it I'll sometimes just throw my bike away without even realizing it cause my minds set on other things.
Sick trick, but I agree if everyone that finds throwing the bike distasteful, bad steez. We shouldn't miss out on the other first trick that was thrown by the winner of the competition! Pat Casey's double decade is beautiful! http://bikefat.com/2012-fise-costa-rica-pat-caseys-double-decade/
why is it when there is a BMX topic on this site there is always a prick that says, I am not into BMX or I hate BMX. a bike is a bike!! and all mt bike freestyle derive from this disipline!!
ok..so im sorry but I hate BMX, but this dude was friggin awesome..congrats on your sick ass trick and I hope for the best throughout your obvious future career...I know i could never pull that off, and it was awesome to watch.keep going man!
why say that you hate bmx, then give the guy props. you mayswell have kept that to yourself and just given the guy respect like you did. and hate is a pretty strong word bro. its all riding bikes just respect each other people.
I hope you know that the disciplines of dirt jumping and eventually slope style came from BMX. You're as stupid as a park skier saying they hate snowboarding.
no..I can just not get on board with anything BMX..not so much the riding..but the attitude and dress code, so thanks for helping that point out..the skills he had are impressive no matter what, but two wheel thing doesnt matter, you all know that BMX vs Dh is differnt
the attitude and the dress code are only a small minority of the bmx culture. i know alot of bmxers who are really humble people, but i also know what you mean by the attitude they sometimes bring, and for the dress code, just wear whatever is comfortable, you dont need to play into the whole sterotype thing. but in saying that, you go to the dh races and you cop the same attitude from some of those guys too. so its all relative. again i just say we all ride bikes lets just all be as awesome as we already are :-)
It's official, ktmman is an idiot. He thinks that the only disciplines in biking is BMX and DH. Welp, at least we know the level of intelligence we are dealing with here.... How about we let the moron lay in his own filth of stupidity and leave this one alone.
And you really think that there isn't an attitude or dress code in certain parts of the MTB scene? Just as much so as BMX, and that's coming from someone who rides both. Road riding is also exactly the same, bike snobbery exists everywhere but its only a minority
@ Miloxc3.... Just because the comment was deleted... or has otherwise vanished from the list of comments NOW... doesn't mean it wasn't there 13 hours ago. You moron.
I do not care about your minor, unworthy opinion. I never saw the comment, so my comment was justified. You just went and started getting angry just because I called you a fool because I thought there was no comment. Grow up and move on.
